The preventive maintenance is the one destined to the conservation of equipment or installations by means of the realization of revision and repair that guarantee their good operation and reliability. This maintenance is performed on equipment under operating conditions, as opposed to corrective maintenance that repairs or puts into operation conditions those that stopped working or are damaged.
The main objective of this service is to avoid or mitigate the consequences of the failures of UPS equipment (uninterrupted power supply), thus preventing incidents before they occur. Preventive maintenance should prevent equipment failures before they occur.
Preventive maintenance includes adjustment procedures, inspection, cleaning, evaluation of each of the monoblocks that make up the battery banks, check and measurement of the parameters of control and operation of the UPS system, voltages and currents of input and output, check of the logic of command, power stages, control, mimic panel and backup tests designed according to recommendations of ANSI / IEEE STD 446-1995, to reduce equipment failures and extend their useful life.
